ARIZONA: Mark?
MARK: I shoulda said it earlier… that I loved her. I shoulda said it earlier.
ARIZONA: She… She knew. I think she knew.
MARK: She didn’t know. She didn’t know.
ARIZONA: Mark… Mark, hold on. Okay, I need you— I need you to hold on.
MARK: You’ll be okay. You don’t need me. You take care of our girls.
ARIZONA: No. Shut up. Shut up. Do you hear me? Shut up.
MARK: Lexie’s waiting for me. I’ll be okay.
ARIZONA: No! Mark Sloan, no! Hey! No. No. Sofia’s waiting for you, and Callie is waiting for you, and I am waiting for you. We’re gonna go home together, okay?
MARK: Okay.
Quite honestly I don’t even know. I need to re-watch it to actually absorb what happened. I mean I spent probably 2/3 of the episode in tears, but I kept waiting during the second half of the episode for Arizona’s death so I was wicked on-edge. I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW SHE DIDN’T DIE. I mean her contract is signed through next season I realize, but they seriously built up her death SO MUCH it just doesn’t make sense to me. Callie talking about how happy she is and how she can’t wait for Calzona sexytime~, Alex calling and thanking her for making him something, Arizona coughing up blood - it doesn’t make sense! I was thrilled when the episode ended without another death, but I’m still very confused. Plus since there wasn’t another death, why did they kill off Lexie so quickly [which was fucking awful]? idk. idk.
I thought everyone’s acting was pretty spectacular, but they probably could have done with a two-hour finale rather than rushing in so much in one hour. But like I said, I need to watch it again to really see how I feel about it hahah.
How about you?!
The hospital was my church, my school, my home, my safe place, my sanctuary. I love it here.
Correction: Loved it here.
“For those of you who have been watching Grey’s for a while, you know that Callie tends to blurt things like “I love you” out – often prematurely. She did it with George, and he never could say it back. She’s a gal who jumps in head first, sometimes blindly, and we’ve seen it bite her in the ass.
So what I love love love is the moment when, after the horrible day that Arizona’s had, after the disastrous party, after losing one of her favorite patients – Arizona comes home, takes one look at Callie in her lingerie and that silly party hat – and Arizona says “I love you” first.”— Stacy McKee (Grey Matter: From the Writers of Grey’s Anatomy)
